Support & QA teams often need to research bugs in different branches or tags; one for each release that they currently support. A common action for a support person is to search a particular release for an error message to track down the cause of an error for a customer. This requires the ability to scope a search to a specific release branch.

We recommend in this case that each release branch be configured as a Pro Project beneath your Repository when indexing using the Pro Setup Utility, Kodebot.

This will enable a search to be scoped to a single release from the Pro Search Page by selecting the corresponding Project from the Project Directory link at the bottom of the page. It is recommended that each release branch and Pro Project name contain the release version so that it is easily identified.
